This drive has shaped our three primary services: strategic planning, annual planning, and quarterly planning, allowing our clients easy access to actionable, easy-to-follow plans unique to their needs.

Strategic Planning

At ZN Advisory, we strive to develop great strategies for your future by listening carefully to your past and present-day circumstances. We can offer dedicated, integrated, and attentive strategic planning services guaranteed to offer community engagement while inspiring confidence and peace of mind.

Our strategic plans are typically developed for five (5) years. They integrate various ideas, categorized into priority buckets for more straightforward execution, as well as the overall accountability. This is further facilitated by a detailed implementation schedule, with a precise reporting mechanism designed for efficiency, reliability, and transparency.  At every step along the way, we ensure that your people are empowered and fully engaged in guiding the planning process as this helps create ownership of the plan once it is created and endorsed by the decision-makers.

The objective of our strategic planning service is to chart out a game plan for your organization based on your long-term vision. From defining your goals to determining appropriate actions, we can provide a framework that guarantees a path to long-term success, vibrancy, and self-sufficiency.  Creating a meaningful strategic plan helps you achieve your vision, increases financial and non-financial resource availability, brings clarity for your people and leads to increased community confidence.

Annual Planning

Annual planning is inherently tied to long-term strategy (strategic planning). It lays down the roadmap for your organization’s goals and activities for the upcoming year, detailing forecasts and budget requirements for the projects and initiatives over that period. At ZN Advisory, we believe that annual planning is an essential component of any successful organization. It is integral to maintaining focus and achieving objectives for the year and beyond.

Typically, annual planning starts with a review of the previous year, accounting for the organization's challenges and successes. This then informs new goals and priorities, detailing activities required to achieve them. The costs of these activities are also detailed, in addition to any revenue generated or available to execute such initiatives. Finally, all these stages and processes are guided by a plan for the stakeholders involved, ensuring that the organization has all the resources it needs to succeed.

By reviewing the past, setting goals and prioritizing activities for the coming year, determining funding and revenue availability, and creating operating and capital budgets, organizations can position themselves for success in the coming year. They can also ensure that their resources are aligned with goals. Annual planning is essentially the tool that helps you do this. It is how you bring life to your organization’s vision and strategic plans!

Quarterly Planning

While strategic planning informs annual planning, quarterly planning helps ensure that annual plans are being implemented as intended and necessary adjustments are made as needed.  In other words, quarterly plans are essential in executing and monitoring your organization’s activities, offering day-to-day insights and an outlook on your progress. In addition, by offering a framework for ensuring that the budget is being used efficiently and effectively, it maintains the organization’s focus on its goals while noticeably improving the likelihood of success.

Quarterly planning starts with a review of the previous quarter, a unique opportunity for any organization to assess its performance and identify areas for improvement. Findings from this stage inform the goals for the next quarter, after which priorities for aspects such as people, systems, and projects, and plans for communication, marketing, sales, and revenues are established. Once the goals are dialed in, the organization typically execute their budgets and plans accordingly, with provisions to adjust as time progresses.

The quarterly plans ensure that your organization remains focused and on track. It also allows for iterative changes and corrections as needed or based on the changing circumstances. The result is a more agile, adaptable organization equipped to meet the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing environment.
